The KENT Sapphire uses RO (Reverse Osmosis) to remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, arsenic, fluoride, and pesticides; UV (Ultraviolet) to kill bacteria and viruses; UF (Ultrafiltration) to filter suspended particles and microbial cysts; and a TDS Controller to retain essential minerals in purified water using Mineral RO™ technology. This four-stage process ensures water is 100% pure and meets IS:10500 drinking water standards.
The TDS Controller in the KENT Sapphire uses KENT's patented Mineral RO™ technology to blend a small portion of UF-filtered water with RO-purified water, thereby reintroducing beneficial minerals — calcium, magnesium, and potassium — that are removed during reverse osmosis. This ensures the purified water is not just safe but also naturally mineralized, with an optimal TDS level typically between 100–150 ppm for good taste and nutrition.
The KENT Sapphire has an 8-litre storage tank and purifies water at 20 litres per hour. For a family of 3–5 members consuming an average of 15–20 litres of drinking water per day, the 8L tank and 20 LPH purification rate are well-suited. The auto-refill and auto-shut-off mechanism ensures the tank remains filled during the day without manual intervention.
