The KENT Sand Filter removes suspended particles, silt, sand, turbidity, and large sediment from raw water — serving as an essential pre-treatment stage before RO purifiers, softeners, or other water treatment systems.
Water passes downward through a bed of graded filter media (sand and gravel), trapping suspended particles within the media — producing clear, turbidity-free water at the outlet.
The KENT Sand Filter uses a layered bed of silica sand, pebbles, and gravel — filtering particles down to 20–50 microns depending on media specification and grading.
Used for pre-treatment of borewell, river, municipal, and surface water in homes, apartments, commercial buildings, and industries — protecting downstream equipment from high turbidity.
No — sand filtration removes suspended physical particles and turbidity only. For bacterial removal or TDS reduction, a sand filter must be paired with disinfection and RO purification systems.
